Supports Independent Living (SIL) in Australia 

Assisting independent living is one type of support you can receive to live in your own home. Its responsibilities are helping or supervising ndis daily tasks shared living, such as preparing meals and personal care. They allow you to become more independent and develop your skills. With supported independent living, individuals require some level of help at home all the time and have higher support needs.

Individuals with disabilities with high support needs are most likely to benefit from supported independent living. In other words, you need significant help every day, seven days a week. Overnight assistance is also required. Supported independent living may be available to NDIS participants who live with other NDIS participants. You may qualify for a supported independent living if you live alone, but you prefer another option. Funding for supported independent living cannot be used for renting or food.
